These wonderful chess pieces are based on the characters from Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' and 'Through the Looking Glass'. These childhood stories were penned to amuse the young children of The Dean of Christ Church where Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (aka Carroll) was employed as a Lecturer. You will recognise all the main characters that have been brought to life in crushed stone resin with a unique pewter and copper finish. These unique pieces have been matched with a stunning high gloss 19.7 inch Spanish board with black anegre and maple squares surrounded by a beautiful palisander border.
