Ana Esquivel is an artist from Alentejo, she is a painter but is well known for her photography. She has had many individual shows and also exhibitions with other artists. She has won national and international prizes. Since 1983 The Azores has been her favourite subject. This book contains photographs from The Azores as well as excerpts from poems and other writings chosen by David Mourao-Ferreira and Jorge Forjaz. It is then translated by Michael Lloyd. This is in good condition, however the title page is loose. The dust jacket is discoloured due to sunning, it is unclipped.
