It investigates the skinheads' challenge to glam rock, and takes a closer look at rude reggae, the Philly groove and Northern soul. It also interprets the deeper meanings of R&B lyrics, heavy metal and the roots of punk. The significance of producers such as Mickey Most and the creation of the millionaire rock star are also examined.
