The Poetry Bookshop is situated in the UK booktown of Hay on Wye on the Welsh borders. It is the ONLY second-hand Bookshop in the UK devoted entirely to Poetry. We stock :- Antiquarian, Modern, Scholarly, Small & Private Press books, Poetry in translation and bilingual texts, Beat Poetry, War Poetry, Illustrated Poetry, Biography, Women's poetry, Old & Middle English, Humorous Poetry, Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Love poetry, Anthologies, Criticism Back issue Magazines and much more.We do not have all our stock listed on here at present currently around 50K titles in store so if you cannot find the poetry title that you are looking for either NEW, USED or ANTIQUARIAN please contact us and we will be happy to check on our shelves. We offer a free no obligation BOOKSEARCH SERVICE.The Poetry Bookshop was opened in Hay in the 1970's by Anne Stevenson and Michael Farley. Alan Halsey ran it from 1980 to the late 90's and the present owners Chris & Melanie Prince took over in 1998. OPENING HOURS: MON - SAT 11 am - 5pm GMT SUN CLOSED. In winter opening times can vary so we suggest if you are making a special journey it's best to contact us first.
