The Book of St. Levan: Crabs, Croust and Clerks - St. Levan Local History Group. Published by Halsgrove, Hardback with dust jacket, 2004. Illustrated. St. Levan, just three miles from Land's End, has a long and fascinating history. With the English Channel on one boundary, this remote rural parish has gained its living from fishing and farming since prehistoric times. A pilot oral history project recording the memories of elderly people in St. Levan was the catalyst for the local history group. This book is the result of the St. Levan Local History Group exploring the origins of the community , and recording its heritage, culture and way of life through the photographs and words of those whose lives have been touched by this unique parish. Many of the photographs were previously unpublished. Condition: Very Good. The pages are clean and tightly bound. The dust jacket is also very good; only a barely visible scratch mark can be found on the back. This copy does not look as thought it has been looked at very much at all.
