Description This is the de-luxe limited edition of The Book of The Solent, number 195 of 750 subscriber copies signed by the two editors on the tipped-in edition plate which is on the reverse of the first free endpaper. Dark blue faux leather hard covers with gilt titles on the front and spine; very minor wear to the hard covers. Internally 'as new' with no signs of usage. Clear mylar dust jacket has a tiny bit of damage at the top of the rear fold. Dark blue cloth covered slipcase has some faint surface marks on the front and rear. Full of colour illustrations, drawings, maps, this book provides a taste of the wide range of activities and interests - physical, human and natural - that exist in this outstanding part of the British coastline. The book attempts to capture the fascinating history of the Solent and covers the historical, environmental, recreational and commercial activities to be found there. Measurements 290 x 225 x 30mm
