'The Bookman' was a monthly magazine published in London from 1891 until 1934 by Hodder & Stoughton, a catalogue of current publications that also contained articles, reviews, advertising and illustrations. B&W illustration throughout. In this volume articles included on Mary Queen of Scots, The Fleshly School of Fiction, Anthony Trollope, George Sand, Charles Dicken's 'Mystery of Edwin Drood'. Used: ex-library copy with the usual book plate and stamp marks. Brown cloth over board, gilt titles on spine. Corners and top and bottom of spine bumped. Bound section within January issue is loose, otherwise binding is tight.
