All but one of a 20-volume set of the works of Joseph Conrad, volume 3 missing, in a limited edition of 780 sets; this set numbered 651 at the beginning of volume 1, with Conrad's signature. Hardbacks with vellum-like paper faces and buckram spines. On all volumes the end papers are discoloured, probably from glue under fixed end-paper. Sometimes this bleeds through to the next sheet. One volume (volume 6) has split in front end-paper at hinge. Otherwise the binding is good in all volumes. Pages are clean throughout all volumes, except that volume 19 has slight spotting towards top part of approx. last 25 pages and volume 20 has very slight spotting on last few pages. Volume 12 has short tear (about 25mm) on last page. Some volumes have pages uncut throughout, some are partly uncut. Some volumes have very small area of faces of boards slightly rubbed. Vol 17 has significant marks on spine and both faces of boards. On several volumes there are small marks on cover. 8 volumes have slight blotchiness to faces of covers.
