THE CURE was an English rock band formed in 1978 in Crawley, West Sussex, and this first edition, soft back book, "Ten Imaginary Years" published in 1988 is the band's official biography. Written by Robert Smith, Steve Sutherland & Barbarian it contains direct source material, discography and many previously unpublished photographs. In 1982 the Cure recorded and released "Pornography", the third and final album of an "oppressively dispirited" trio that cemented the Cure's stature as one of the purveyors of the emerging gothic rock genre. Led by the iconic frontman Robert Smith, the Cure remain one of the most beloved and influential bands in the history of alternative rock. Thanks in part to classic singles like "Just Like Heaven," "Boys Don't Cry," "Lovesong," "In Between Days," and many others, the Cure have sold millions of records worldwide and have performed in front of countless fans in every corner of the globe. Condition of Book: The paperback cover and spine are strong and clean, no tears or folds, some marking and scoring, and softening at spine ends, corners and around edging. The spine is uncreased. Inner pages are clean, no tears or folds but softened at corners and along edging. Yellowing and marking on inner covers front and back, and previous owner inscription on inner front cover.
