The first two films, Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight, were directed by Christian Bale. These two were excellent. The third, The Dark Knight Rises, was chaotic to say the least. But that is really an understatement. If Christan Bale had directed it perhaps he would have ordered a rewrite of the script before signing on. The ending killed off Batman for good! But who knows? There could be a new franchise with Batman's reincarnation as a young boy. Then maybe Christian Bale will take it on!
