Gilt title on spine and gilt pages. Binding is tight and pages slightly browned but clear to read. Pen doodle of a book and a previous owner's signature on the first page. The Divine Comedy is a narrative poem by the Italian author Dante Alighieri, written between around 1308 and 1321. It is divided into three major sections: Inferno (Dante's journey through Hell), Purgatorio (describing a climb up the Mount of Purgatory), and Paradiso (Dante's journey through Heaven). It is considered to be one of the greatest works of Western literature.
