The Flash back After the Acid Trip The Ultimate Psychedelic Music Guide Hi and thanks for the interest you've shown in my earlier book The Acid Trip and for thecorrespondence it generated. This has helped make The Flashback possible Literally, psychedelic music means mind expanding music. It's a subjective term whichhas different meanings to different individuals, and this, illustrates the difficulties ofattempting to compartmentalise music. The term is applied to music that is mystical,drug-induced or designed to recreate the drug experience, ladened with discordant andfrantic guitar work and so on....... Not all the bands in this volume are remembered as psychedelic rock/pop bands. Termslike 'progressive' or 'punk' (in the 60's sense), for example, are more appropriatelyapplied to some. The bands I've selected for this volume are those I believe will mostinterest the record collectors among you, my audience. I've also omitted from thisvolume a number of non-psychedelic bands, which were included in The Acid Trip,particularly in its San Francisco section, on account of their significance for US WestCoast rock. This book is in very good condition, with only some minor shelf wear and the fron cover slightly detached. See the last picture.
