The best Scotch Whisky in the world not once, but 4 times. Single Malt "moonshiners," smugglers, and brothers John and James Grant got their legal permit to found Glen Grant in 1840. Over the years the place has been filled with colorful characters, including the famous James Jr. who inherited the distillery in 1872. Known as "The Major," he owned the first car in Scotland, was the first to wire a distillery with electricity, pioneered taller stills, and traveled the world promoting the brand. The 20th century brought more growth along with mergers and acquisitions. Today Glen Grant is owned by Campari -- the Italian spirits giant -- but they still produce fine Single Malts in the Highlands north of the River Spey. Glen Grant 18 Year Old is the bottle every Spirit aficionado would be proud to put on their shelf. Part of their core collection, this is a complex single malt Scotch Whisky that's been aged for 18 long years. It's everything you'd expect from the one and only Glen Grant and more since it's aged way longer than their most popular expressions. Prepare for plenty of delicate notes of vanilla, butterscotch, and raisins with hints of spice and a long, long finish.
