Very good condition for age, sound binding, cover has minor rubbing to side and ends of spine. Owner's plate and name on first page, spotting to 2nd page, no other notes, marks or tears. Grey cloth, lettered white on spine. Illustrations by John Keating Betsy is a grey goose who leaves the farmyard and goes off to the Fair. On the way, she makes friends with Sheila, who was sent to Bridgie Swallow for butter. As they travel, they meet Fergus and the Ballad Singer, the Apple Woman, the Swan Children, and more with special tales to tell. Patricia Lynch (c. 1894-1972) was an Irish writer of children's literature and a journalist. She was the author of some 48 novels and 200 short stories. She is best known for blending Irish rural life and fantasy fiction.
