From Preface: I [the author] aim merely at giving an account of an ancient ecclesiastical institution the very name of which is unknown to many Cornishmen and the character of which is unknown even to some of the people of Penryn and Budock, who are accustomed to speak and think of it as a "monastery". Includes a pull out map of Penryn at the front and of the college at the back of the book. Also contains black and white images throughout. Signed copy: A dedication by the author is written in black ink on the front free end paper. Book condition: Used, fair. No dust jacket. The boards are scuffed, particularly on the bottom edge. The pages are foxed, and the index page has transferred ink onto the back of the college map. Otherwise the pages are clean and the binding is secure.
