This volume offers a complete history of the Falkland Islands. It takes the complex, controversial story of the Islands and produces a compelling history of the turbulent years of disputed sovereignty. It also brings the story up to the end of the 20th century by covering all the important developments since the war in 1982, particularly the development of the fishing industry and the prospecting for oil. The jacket has a few light indentation marks, particularly on the rear, where where is also a short closed surface tear, approx. 1.3 cm, near the spine. The book itself is in fine condition, apart from a couple of small surface bumps. Excellent internally. Printed on good quality paper; map of the Falkland Islands on end papers. Two sections of b/w photographs. Foreword by Sir Rex Hunt CMG.
