Four books, the complete work. Green cloth hard covers with gilt titles on the fronts and spines. All of the boards are sunned to some extent; all of the spines are sunned to brown but the titles are still bright. Gilt top edges, untrimmed fore and lower edges. Tanned first and last free endpapers. Tissue guarded frontispieces, all tissues are foxed; the frontispiece of the first volume is detached where the hinge is cracked but all other binding is tight. No inscriptions, text blocks are clean and unmarked. These volumes are part of the 12 volume set of the complete works of Henry Fielding edited by George Saintsbury. Illustrations by Herbert Railton and E J Wheeler. The front pastedown of each book has the following printed: 'This volume is one of the first issue of this edition of Fielding's novels'.
