Baroness Orczy was a Hungarian-born British novelist and playwright. She is best known for her series of novels featuring the Scarlet Pimpernel. A Sheaf of Bluebells is a novel by Baroness Emma Orczy about the feuds between Royalists and the followers of Napoleon Bonaparte. It was first published in 1917, and turned into a play The Legion of Honour by Orczy in 1918. This is the new title in novel form. Small brown hardback. Large tear on spine at joint with rear board. Printed on poor quality pulp paper which has browned at edges. Fading to pages, with foxing. Inset on back cover: Fry's Breakfast Cocoa. Trace of label removal. Ffep has inscription and date (1919) for previous owner. A readable copy.
