"It may be as well to explain at once the genesis of this book and my reasons for publishing it. Every cruise of the Blue Dragon has been logged faithfully, from her launch in 1892, until she was sold early in 1905 and a larger boat obtained; and I was thus possessed of a mass of material which I now publish, if only for the purpose of reminding my fellow-voyagers and myself of many delightful sails, scenes and incidents." The log accounts are by many different writers, describing voyages around various parts of the British Isles. Illustrated with seven maps and many monochrome drawings & sketches, also the coloured frontispiece (protected by a flimsy). Cloth-bound, with gilt upper edge of text block. Tight binding, and in generally good condition; small stain inside front board, with minute pasted label 'G.Roote, Bookseller, Woodbridge'; no annotations noticed.
