The Love And Fear Of Flying
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
An extraordinary book which deals, knowledgeably, with the hopes, problems and fears of fliers. This study relates to World War 2 and utilizes cases of flyers in the training command of the United States Air Force and in the Eighth Air Force while it was stationed in England. It is limited to those aspects of the emotional lives of flyers which are concerned with flying and with combat. It deals with the anatomy of these fears and with the mental state of those who developed them. Preface by General James Doolittle. Cloth hardback in good condition, but with just a few pen marks in the margin and some underlining.
