A well-rounded Japanese Whisky for just about anyone. Each time a Japanese Whisky reaches US-shores for the first time, it's a celebration. Coming from a distillery at the foot of the Mt. Fuji volcano in the Yamanashi Prefecture, The Mikuni was inspired by the success of Japanese Whisky across the globe, the US especially. But the ticket of admission can get quite expensive with juices from the Land of the Rising Sun. The Mikuni aims to make quality Japanese Whisky accessible. Tasty Japanese juice without breaking the bank -- we're all for that. The Mikuni is a blended Whisky with Malt Whisky, Grain Whisky, and the freshest mountain water that's drawn from 821ft underground. Water makes or breaks a blend like this and the one used here is the finest kind -- filtered through porous volcanic rock. Once blended by Master Blender Kenji Watanabe, it's aged for 3 years in ex-Bourbon barrels. Bottled at 80 proof, it's a mellow and well-rounded expression -- a perfect fit for anyone just delving into Japanese Whisky or someone searching for a daily drinker from the Land of the Rising Sun.
