The Swiss conductor and violinist, Victor Desarzens, studied at the Conservatoire de Lausanne, and later with Franz von Hoesslin. After his studies, Victor Desarzens joined the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande as a violinist, then practiced chamber music. He founded a small ensemble which in 19422 (or 19431) became the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne (OCL). He directed it until 1973. He performed many creations by Swiss composers, including Raffaele D'Alessandro, Jean Balissat, Eric Gaudibert, Peter Mieg, Armin Schibler, Julien-Francois Zbinden. This biography was produced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra. Text with numerous B/W Plates. Excellent pages, minor edge and jacket wear.
