The Nature And Subsequent Uses Of Flint Volume 1 - The Basics Of Lithic Technology
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
From the author's introduction: "Man and his ancestors have been in existence now for approximately 2 million years, and only during the past 2500 years in Britain, has mankind not been dependent on flint and silicious materials for tool manufacture. In that relatively short time, we have lost the ability to manipulate these materials, though interest in stone tools is inherent in human nature. "Today's knappers who are engaged on re-learning lithic thechinques, are constantly being asked to publish their methods. In response to this, I have produced what I hope will be, the first of a series of booklets dealing with aspects of flint technology both ancient and relatively modern." Paperback bound booklet in very good clean condition throughout. 60 pages. Size 20.8 x 14.9 x 0.5 cm.
