DO NOT BUY HERE!!!!!! I ordered something three weeks ago - was told it would be with me by 29th June latest. Called day before due date and its not even been made yet let alone shipped!!!! they won't refund and were totally unhelpful and unsympathetic. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they had a meeting - a 5 hour meeting? really? they really didn't care at all. Appalling customer service, would never recommend them. Customer service and word of mouth are key to a company's reputation and longevity. Judging by similar feedback on this page this has not yet dawned on them.

I placed an order in November 2016 and payment was taken. I sent two emails in December 2016 and one in January 2017, chasing the order and I received no response. I called in February 2017 and I was advised it was delivered November 2016 but obviously it hadn't been. I rectangle call the next day to say it's now too long ago to investigate as the order was placed in November. I have now posted a letter of complaint and awaiting a response.

This is the first and last time I ever order from The Original Gift Company.Ordered Christmas present on 12th December. Only when I chased on 22nd December because nothing had arrived did I discover it had been sent but would not arrive until after Christmas. No one had bothered to e mail to explain it would not make Christmas. Staff rude and unhelpful. A warning to all.

I believe in writing good reviews where appropriate, but not this time. I have sent 3 emails chasing items ordered mid-November. No response whatsoever, only an automatic request asking if I am satisfied? Grrr. Frankly, No. I am not prepared to wait in a long phone queue at my cost. This company wins my vote for the worst I have ordered from this year.

Placed order 9th Nov funds taken from my account same day.
After several emails chasing the goods back and forth with many promises given they eventually told me on 28th Nov it is being prepared for dispatch and allocated a tracking No. so assume it’s on the way.
Then informed it should be with me within “a couple of days”.
4th Dec no product so check tracking number but it is not recognised by the courier’ tracking web page (another lie).
Sent yet another email pointing out that a couple of days has passed and no goods and tracking no does not work. But heard nothing back.

Next day 6th Dec get email from PayPal informing me that I have got a credit for half the amount I paid & later same day get second email from PayPal with the rest of the funds but not a dicky bird from the company that they were cancelling their contract to supply me the product.

We are left with an embarrassing situation as the wedding is on Saturday 10th Dec.
THIS COMPANY OBVIOUSLY TAKES ORDERS AND THE MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS BEFOR ORDERING THE GOODS FROM THEIR SUPPLIER IN THE HOPE THEY GET THE PRODUCTS IN TIME TO DELIVER TO THE CUSTOMER THEN KEEP YOU HANGING ON WITH LIES HOPING YOU WILL WAIT FOR DELIVERY.
THIS IN THE LAST COMPANY TO USE ESPECALLY IF YOU HAVE ANY SORT OF DEADLINE.

I have bought from "The Original Gift Company" before, & because of that I was sent, along with a brochure, a money off "Gift Card" for £5. 66 if more than £25 is spent. Yes, the huge amount of £5. 66. I am not complaining about the amount, any money off is good for me. On Monday 28th. November, I tried to order 2 items on line, costing £29. 90 plus £4. 95 p&p, totalling £34. 85, put in the "Gift Card" number which was accepted, I then proceeded to check out & pay with my credit card. I filled out all the details & tried to pay, then a message came to say my card company would not accept it & to try again. This is total rubbish as I pay off my credit card monthly & would have no such problems. I returned to the beginning & went through the whole procedure again, (several times), but each time I arrived at the section to enter my "Gift Card" number, I received pop up's to tell me that card had already been used. It goes without saying I was furious. The following day I decided to ring them. I got through to the automated voice, telling me information I wasn't needing, then I was told I was 10th. in line to be answered, I'm assuming that an 03 no. would cost at least 9 pence per minute, & how long I would have been waiting is anyone's guess, so I hung up & took the email option which stated that it could take up to 48 hours for a reply, fine, I was prepared to wait, but I did not even receive an email from them to assure me that mine would be answered in due course which is what happens with any other company I have dealt with. The following day I received an email from them telling me that I still had goods in my basket waiting to be checked out, so I tried to order the goods again, but the same scenario, the gift card had already been used!!! I decided to email them again, & as yet, Sunday 4th. December at 1.40 pm, I have still had no reply. Luckily, I have been able to find similar items that I required from another source, so will not be using these again. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone, & am removing them from my mailing/emailing lists. Shame on you "ORIGINAL GIFT COMPANY"

I received this as a Xmas present from a friend. ```it was absolute rubbish, as it was just perfumed water without ant scent. `if you stuck your nose to it you could just about detect a slight smell. By now all water has long evaporated. I have had a proper diffuser which goes on forever Do your tell your friend it was rubbish? No, you thank her, it is not worth offending her. Although she should be warned not to waste her money again.

I ordered a personalised gift at the beginning of December, i rang on 19th of December asking where my order was, they said "it has been dispatched today and should arrive by christmas", it did not. I rang again on 6th January asking the status of my order to be told "it is being dispatched today" i asked for proof of posting to be sent to me - it did not arrive! i rang again on 8th January and spoke to possibly the only honest women in the company who said "it has not been dispatched its out of stock and may be another fortnight". She was very apologetic, i asked to speak to a manager as i had been lied to twice - she said that a manager would call me by the end of the day... they did not call. i received an email the following day saying the item would be with me in the next 10 to 14 days. it did finally arrive. The product is ok but the inscription is abysmal, you can is it in bright light at the right angle with the right glasses on. I will definitely never order from them again, or advise anyone else to use them. I am absolutely disgusted with them, their customer service and their attitude.

I do not usually add reviews but this time I am making an exception.

I placed an order on 5th Dec for which payment was taken two days later. By 20th December there was still no sign of my order or even a confirmation email so I called customer services.

The person taking the call was very apologetic but seemed to be unsure what she could tell me so I asked if the order had been sent yet? I was told no but it was ready to be sent soon. I asked when that would be and was told "I've no idea as they are a bit busy".

Well it's now 2nd January and still no sign of my order and no confirmation email. I did try calling customer services again but seems I'm not the only one calling them at the moment. I have therefore sent a detailed email which their site says should be responded to in 48 hours.

My advice, steer well clear of these people. They are quick enough in taking the money but not so hot on either sending the good or responding to complaints.

Ordered a monagrammed personalised bath robe 5 weeks before xmas, was promised delivery before xmas when I phoned on the 19th Dec 2015. Today xmas eve just told me that I won't be getting the item before xmas. It was supposed to be a gift!! People just thought you should know that we're hardly apologetic and i have no present to give after all those promises. Don't count on the. originalgiftcompany at all, very, very disappointed.

I ordered and paid for three items. Two items turned up, no delivery note, no explanation as to the whereabouts of the third item. I've tried calling them over 5 times and have emailed them. Can't get through on the telephone and no reply to my email. Over a week later and still no third item, explanation or reply to my email. And still can't get through on the telephone. Will definitely not be using this company again. Shocking.

Ordered 2 sets of Christmas LED lights described as "outdoor lights". On arrival today the instructions state that they are suitable for indoor use only. Customer service person tells me that they are in fact able to be used outdoors but that the instructions are wrong! Am I to believe her? Surely any instructions sent out to customers should be correct? I don't think I shall deal with this company again.

we went to the shop as we live about 20 miles away, found it very small assistant then was not really helpful and was told to go to the ''factory'' just on the outskirt of the town, equally unhelpful.

Ordered an inscribed pen set beginning November 2014 for Xmas gift. Sent item but wrongly inscribed. Informed straight away and told to send back (at my expense before a replacement can be sent.)After 3 weeks nothing...telephoned over 3 days..no reply...letter arrives saying item no longer available and alternative offered. Offer accepted. On 23rd Dec rang to find out what was happening now told alternative offer is out of stock and they will credit my account.

Just don't deal with these people they're unreliable and don't care...they obviously work on the principle of accepting that many of their orders will go wrong but it doesn't cost them because you're never refunded your return postage

Original order placed in November and I received the wrong name on a personalised item. Sent email, no response, eventually spoke to someone who arranged for this wrong item to be collected and ordered a replacement . Still waiting. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift.
Impressed. ....... not
