Taken from DJ inner ....... "How many really know Paris ---- Paris apart from the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Arc de Triomphe" and the boulevard cafes? We have been fortunate in gathering together, for the purposes of writing this book, many men currently famous in French literary circles.". "They remove the curtain of tourism and lead you to and through those parts of the city known only to the Parisian. Whether you think you know Paris, or admit that you do not, this book with it's delightful illustrations in full colour will be a constant joy to you.". 511 pp. Part of the "World in Colour" guidebook series. Illustrations and introduction by Jean Cocteau. A rare copy since few in circulation retain their dust jacket. The DJ (unclipped, "30/-") is in fair condition, with some loss to the spine (illus.) and with slight tears around the edges, but remains bright and colourful. The contents are in very good condition; unmarked and tightly bound with only a little dust staining to the edges of the block.
