The Penny Magazine Of The Society For The Diffusion Of Useful Knowledge (1834) Bound Volume
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
Published 1834 as Volume III by Charles Knight, this bound volume contains every issue of the Penny Magazine for 1834. Hardback. Marbled boards, quarter bound in brown leather. Very shelf worn and scuffed. The binding of the front cover is loose. Inside pages are age-tanned with some foxing to title page. Overall condition is poor. Despite looking well-used, this is a fascinating collection of the magazine intended to educate and inform its readers. With plenty of etched line drawings to illustrate its considerable range of topics, ranging from art to natural history, music to geography. Issue 113 (4 Jan 1834) to 175 (27 Dec 1834).
