Full title is "The poetical works of William Wordsworth . A new edition, carefully edited with a life." The life is signed with the initials J R. There are also 6 pages of notes on the poems. This is a very nice edition. Bound in light brown leather covered boards decorated with gilt lines round the edges of front and back. Spine is richly decorated in gilt with raised bands and a black title label. Marbled textblock edges, pastedowns and front and back free endpapers. Illustrated with full page engravings. Covers have minor corner-bumping and edgewear and scuffing. Front cover is a little faded near the top. Spine is crushed at the top with a 1/2 mm tear. Hinge of front cover is cracked but book is firmly bound. A little foxing on the margins of the pictures and on the back free endpapers. Text is clean and bright. A very good copy considering its age.
