Two volumes in Theo Lang's 'The Queen's Scotland' series which looks at the traditions, history and beauty spots region by region. Both books 14.2 x 20.5 cm. Edinburgh and the Lothians: first edition published in 1952. Unclipped dust-jacket with wear, faded spine and small tears. Cloth-covered hardback with light wear. Sound binding. Some spotting of the pages and a dedication on the back of the free front endpaper of the otherwise unmarked pages. 282 pp. The Border Counties; Tweeddale, Merse and Teviotdale: first edition published in 1957. Unclipped dust-jacket has wear, faded spine and some small tears. It is protected with a film cover which is not fixed to the book, but we have not attempted to remove it. The hardback cover appears to be in good condition. The binding is sound. The pages are unmarked apart from a name on the free front endpaper. 239 pp.
