The Rotter Of Whitelands
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
Reginald Browne was the pseudonym of Edwy Searles Brooks (1889-1965), a British novelist who also wrote under the pen-names Berkeley Gray, Victor Gunn, Rex Madison, and Carlton Ross. This is the second novel in the series set in Whitelands School. Kenneth Pyne is one of the most reckless fellows in the school, and his main weakness is his love of speed and his motorbike. Crashes, cricket and conquering heroes make for an exciting story. A scarce copy. Hardcover, without dustjacket, produced to War Economy Standard. Blue cloth boards with fading blind stamped titles and publishers emblem to front, worn edges. Gilt title to spine is dulled. Spine ends and edges rubbed. Endpapers browned, with ffep torn out. Hinge at title page and at end of book loose. Page corners creased from page 45-62. Text is unmarked.
