"The Scholars", also known as "Unofficial History of the Scholars", is a Chinese novel written by Wu Ching-Tzu and published in 1750 during the Qing dynasty. It is considered one of the great "Classic Chinese Novels". Translated by Yang Hsien-Yi and Gladys Yang. For Contents, see photographs. Slip cover is damaged quite badly but holding firm (see photographs). Pictorial dust jacket has sun damage to spine and small tear at top of spine. Lilac cloth covered boards with gold embossed design on spine and gold titles on black base are in good condition. Pages clean and bright.
