Billington's are a small company well known to food lovers for their unrefined sugars. Like many people, however, their employees have felt the effects of breast cancer. So, with the help of food writer Sue Lawrence, the company has put this collection together to help raise funds for the Breast Cancer Campaign, and they've persuaded every top name in British cooking to lend their support. It's rare you'll find such high calibre recipes all together in one book. Considering the sugar connection, you'd expect Utterly Unrefined to contain some stunning desserts and cakes, but you'll be surprised at the delicious salads, meat and fish dishes. Treats include Delia's Very Chocolatey Mousse, Tamsin Day-Lewis's Spiced Chicken Livers on Wilted Endives and Nick Nairn's Muscovado Sugar Meringues with Lime Cream and Mangoes. Contributors include Tamsin Day-Lewis, Simon Hopkinson, Rick Stein, Marguerite Patten, Phil Vickery and Nick Nairn. The Breast Cancer Campaign funds research to improve diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and ultimately to cure and prevent the disease. The book is in very good condition throughout with only slight signs of wear on the spine and covers. All inside pages are clean. It is signed by Rick Stein.
