An account of a pre-war voyage to the South Seas embarked upon by an amateur crew sailing a three-masted barquentine. It follows their experiences from Rio de Janeiro via Cape Town, Australia and New Zealand to the South Sea Islands. Their return route took them to the Galapagos Islands, Jamaica, New York and Halifax before they returned to England, arriving a few days after war was declared. The book is in neat cloth covered boards but has no dust jacket. It is in excellent condition. Illustrated with black and white photographs and contains 13 maps. There is a previous owner's name written on the first blank page, dated January 1940.
