Landscape format. Pb. VG cond. No markings and covers not creased. Foreword by Basil Greenhill, the Museum Director. Ill. in b & w with ph. of the preserved parts, prints and double page Longitudinal section of the ship. There are 6 pages of text in double and triple columns. 24pp. The author was Head of the Dept. of Ships at the Maritime Museum. The recovery of this Swedish warship of the 17th century was a major archaeological achievement of the time. The exhibition, for which this booklet was an accompaniment, sought to present the ship in her historical context and It so happens that she was sunk at the time of the building of the Queen's House where the exhibition was held. this copy PS 8.99
