Beautifully crafted in Italy. Superbly ornate. 3.25 inch king. Perfect for a 16 inch board. Ideal gift. These crushed stone resin pieces have been beautifully crafted into characters representing water and fire. Depending on your preference for Greek or Roman Mythology, the king of the water could be Poseidon or Neptune. Either way he is resplendent in flowing gowns, bearing his trusty trident and whip. His consort is the beautifully alluring Amphitrite or Salacia. The rook is none other than a miniature lighthouse and we love that the knights are seahorses with the pawns as Octopuses. All of these characters are set upon waves. The Fire King is represented by a Nordic looking character carrying a flaming bowl and with fire crackling around his feet. His sultry queen too carries a bowl of fire, whilst flames lap at the hem of her gown. The bishop resembles a Viking, whilst the knight is a ferocious dragon upon a fiery pillar. The burning castle and eerie vampire-like pawns make up a sizzling army.
