Camellia 'Brushfield's Yellow' is a gorgeous hardy evergreen shrub. This camellia is guaranteed to provide you with a stunning spring display with its creamy yellow blooms and glossy green foliage. Perfect for patio containers, woodland gardens or hedging! Flowering period from April through to May. Height: 400cm (157in). Spread: 250cm (98in). Camellia plants require a moist, well drained, acid soil in a sheltered, shaded position. In areas where acid soil does not naturally occur, grow Camellia plants in patio containers using a mix of ericaceous compost and John Innes No. 3 and position in dappled shade. Water regularly until plants are fully established. Where possible, use rainwater as the lime contained in tap water will reduce the acidity in the soil over time. Feed Camellias occasionally with fertiliser for acid-loving plants. Protect plants from cold winter winds and strong early morning sunlight, as this may cause the buds to drop in early spring.
