Polianthes Pink Sapphire produces beautiful pink blossoms with rich perfume scented. Rose Pink Flowers which are lovely fresh cut flowers. Polianthes tuberosa requires a minimum temperature of 15degC (59degF), so be sure to move them indoors over winter for another beguiling display next year. Height: 120cm (48"). Spread: 15cm (6"). Plant tubers in pots during spring, at a depth of 10cm. Grow them on in a warm, frost free position. When plants are well grown, and all risk of frost has past, transplant Polianthes into their final positions in borders or containers. Choose a sunny position in moist, free draining soil. Tubers may also be planted directly into borders. Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. With the first autumn frosts, remove tubers from their positions and store over winter in peat or sand, in a cool but frost free position.
