This Titanium Solder Probe, also known as a pick, is a perfect device for aiding the flow of molten solder onto precious metals. Titanium is ideal because it is a low thermal conductor meaning it won`t draw the heat away from the solder or metal. It also prevents any metal adhering to the tip and doesn`t oxidise. Featuring an 11.6mm thick, light wooden handle and a protective nib cover, preventing damage to the nib or you. The length of the tip is approximately 44mm, with a total length of 150mm. It is advised that you use different picks for each alloy, avoiding contamination - see product 999 AAFC. Please note - this item is not suitable for platinum soldering.
