With over 300 illustrations, this book covers in depth the routes, the buses and most of all the people which made "The TMS" a watchword for reliable service in the Durham mining communities. Starting in the 1920s, with the individual enterprises of Joe Grundy and Messrs. Paul and Seymour, the story travels through successive owners, culminating in Mr. Bob Lewis who made it into one of the most successful companies in the country.
