Blue pictorial boards, officer on horseback on front board, portrait of Nelson on spine. Blue edges to block. Hinge split to spine with webbing visible inside front cover, half-title page is almost detached. Endpapers are tanned with moderate foxing. There is a single full page b/w illustration plus 6 fold-out charts showing positions of the fleet at various stages of the battle. These are all intact, plans I and II are torn. A detailed retelling of the Trafalgar campaign in honour of Horatio, Lord Nelson. Written by Sir William Laird Clowes, a British journalist and historian who wrote numerous pieces on naval technology and strategy, and Sir Alan Hughes Burgoyne, a British Conservative politician, historian, and writer.
