An additional safety limiter that helps to ensure the claws are not cut too short. Trixie Deluxe Claw Clippers - Large are fitted with a safety closure that keeps the clippers locked when not in use. The handle is made of plastic and has a rubber overlay that fits comfortably in your hand. To help prevent this, it can be beneficial to cut claws at regular intervals, to keep them short and healthy. Advice for use: Ensure your dog's paw is held firmly in place before beginning to cut its claws. Cut just small pieces at a time to help avoid injury. The claws should be cut at a 45deg angle to the growth and never against the direction of growth to help prevent injury to your pet. The safety guard stops too much being cut from the claw. It can be removed by loosening the screws.
