The light is water resistant, meaning although its not suitable for swimming dogs, it is absolutely fine for heavy rain...or heavy slobber! The light has 3 settings, Constant, Slow Flash, and Fast Flash, when used on the 'constant' setting, you will get around 3 hours of light from a full charge, longer when used in flash mode.
