The VELCRO(r) Brand PS18 Self-Adhesive tape is an acrylic-based adhesive tape. It has a base material of water-based acrylic polymer and is colourless. The tape has a minimum shelf life of 3 years when stored in a dark area at 15degC to 25degC. It is suggested for use on most clean and smooth surfaces, except for polypropylene and other non-polar materials. Depending on loading and relative humidity, the tape has a temperature range of -20degC to +120degC. The PS18 adhesive has excellent resistance to oxidation, plastifying, oils, migration, high temperature, low temperature, and U.V. radiation. However, it has poor resistance to high relative humidity and polar solvents. The minimum recommended bonding temperature for the PS18 adhesive is 10degC, and the substrate should be degreased with alcohol or spirit before applying the tape.
