This vintage three-strand saltwater pearl necklace with a total of 279 amazing quality pearls. This dates back to the 1950s-1960s, a true testament to timeless elegance & classic style. What sets it apart is the remarkable clasp, crafted from unmarked acid tested 9ct gold. This exquisite clasp is adorned with a large, oval facet-cut garnet, a statement gem that adds a touch of opulence to the piece. Surrounding the garnet are 12 cultured pearls, forming a delicate & harmonious contrast. The clasp, measuring a substantial 18mm by 17mm, is not just visually impressive; it is designed with a practical snap-shut fastener, ensuring the necklace remains securely in place. The oval cut garnet, with an estimated carat size of 2.20cts, exhibits some light surface marks when examined at 10x magnification, a testament to its natural beauty & authenticity. The necklace itself consists of three rows or strands of cultured saltwater pearls, individually hand-knotted to silk in a graduated style.
