A charming lidded Wolsley pattern serving dish in white and blue with gold gilt trim. The lid has a notch to accommodate a serving spoon. This piece was manufactured by Sampson Hancock & Sons somewhere around late 19th or early 20th centuries. The condition is very good with no major chips, cracks or scratches. There are some minor marks around the rim that could have been caused by use or may simply be imperfections in the glaze as would be typical for the period. The gilt edges have begun to rub in places but still appear quite bright and vibrant. Diameter 14.5cm / 5.5" Height (with lid) 11cm / 4"
