Visited the store twice in the last week as I’ve been using the broadband for a few months, and as I am moving to another house in the area, I needed to get the relocation sorted. Received sub par service from both the men in the store, both of whom had no sense of customer service. Both gave me different information, which indicated to me that either they were not trained well, or they were just not paying attention to anything, and I left feeling confused as to why there is any staff in the store, or a physical store in the area. My problem is not even the fact that they could not help me, it was that they were extremely rude, made me feel like I was asking something unreasonable, and their overall demeanour was absolutely atrocious, especially when speaking to a current, paying customer of their service. On the other hand, I called Virgin’s customer service, who were a lot better, but I’m still disappointed with the service I received in person at their store, and think others should be aware of this too.

The walsall store seems to have no knowledge on how there returns policy works. This is a direct review on Hannah who had me driving and running around for the whole of my Saturday trying to exchange / return the iPhone 6s to get the iPhone 7.

I bought the 6s on saturdsy as they had no other phone and I was desperate but they told me to come back next Saturday to exchange it as they will HAVE the iPhone 7’s in then so I’m like “that’s great i’ll See you then”, I go in the following Saturday for the same person (hannah) to tell me they haven’t got any but insisted we go to another store which will have them, I then had to tell her to call Wolverhampton & Telford stores as she didn’t seem like she was going to ask off her own back! In the end she didn’t find out and we had to phone Wolverhampton ourselves and they had the iPhone 7, so we go over there hoping to return the 6s to them and get the 7 for them to go and tell us that WE CANT take the 6s as it isn’t our stock! At this point I was losing my patience.. not with Wolverhampton store as they had a lot more knowledge then what Hanna did in Walsall who is supposedly head of returns!

So we had to buy the iPhone 7 from Wolverhampton and then go ALL the way back to the walsall store to exchange the 6s.. we was expecting Hannah to still be there as I wanted to have a word with how she has wasted my time burn of course she leaves her shift early when she knew we was coming back to the store and had her colleague deal with it instead who was very helpful.

Hannah you are not fit to do returns if you do not know how it works, laziness to not understand the companies policies is mind boggling to how you are the HEAD OF RETURNS. You wasted mine and my girlfriends ENTIRE Saturday having us running around to different stores when you SIMPLY could of told us we need to exchange the 6s at your store and go to Wolverhampton to get the new phone but you didn’t.

Not happy and will be taking this further.

Do NOT get your phone from the Virgin Media Store in walsall people.

Virgin broadband is so slow and the worst internet you can purchase. If i was you i would go with Sky broadband as you might actually get some internet that works.

Please always check your tariff before leaving the shop. They put me on completely the wrong tariff. Phoned the next day to change and was promised it was going to be done at end of the month and it wasn't. Went back in the shop only to be told it would cost us more than the original one as deal had expired. Dave the manager who made the mistake didn't have the decency to come over to apologise. Then to top it all had a bill last night for £45 he had put me on a tariff of charging to use the internet £3 a day. Called customer service who are trying to sort the problem fingers crossed.

I can honestly say that this was the best customer experience I have ever had in-store, the staff were all professional and polite. Besides the free coffee that I was offered being lovely, the service was excellent and I got a great deal by the end of it. It was well worth the visit, and I am happy to call myself a Virgin Media customer :D

Had the biggest switchover nightmare ever with Virgin. Bad customer relations ever. After agreeing with Virgin for their TV and broadband, I give my existing supplier the 30 days notice. Ends up that the new installation and my cut off from my existing supplier is going to happen on the same day. I try to bring my installation forward from virgin but they said was not possible. They assured me that a few days before installation the work would be done outside ready for the box install. Come the day of my cut off from my existing supplier, they turn up and said it was not possible to do the install as they have to dig through next doors garden. Next door is rented property and tenants not in. The installers asked if I would give permission to dig up next doors garden! I couldn't so installation did not go ahead. Another planned install earliest was another 11 days away and that was only if they manage to get a consent from next door. This would leave me with no TV or internet, which I rely on the internet due to business. No help from virgin as they could not promise anything, nor any solution to the problem. Worst customer service and making promises they cannot keep. I don't think I could ever trust them as an alternative provider. Worst ever experience.

The person constantly chewing gum with her mouth open, chatting gossip with colleagues and checking her mobile. Their system does not have a lot of UK addresses so can't get contract. Just got iPhone X from O2 instead, much better service! Very attentive, educated customer service at O2!

Took the contract out yesterday going to cancel tomorrow. Can't speak to an English speaking person. Can get answers to questions. Don't really care staff put phone down on me cos I asked for a supervisor. Clearly VIRGIN get customers with thier prices but then can't give a service. I will cancel within my 14 days. Not a good company if You WANT A SERVICE. Mr Branson wants to look at his company before selling it

Update from my previous review where i gave 1 star. Beside i could not have the quick start box delivered to the specified address, Cameroon helped me having the box delivered to their store so that i could collect it myself. Well done.
