Divisions 3 to 9 of the 9 volume subscription edition, circa 1870s. In fair to poor condition with damaged covers and pages coming loose. The steel engraved plates are present but have foxing plus some tears around the edges and occasional moisture staining. Division 3. Contains The Winter's Tale (from Act IV/iii onwards). Plus The Tempest, King John, Richard II, Henry IV Parts I & II. Front cover worn, faded and almost completely loose with a tape repair at top left and missing corner top right. Rear cover less faded but also tape repaired. The pages are coming loose, with some age browning and occasional foxing. Moisture staining on the plates. Division 4. Similar condition. Contains Henry V, Henry VI Parts I, II & III, Richard III (to Act V/iii only). Division 5. Less faded covers but otherwise similar condition. Contains Richard III (from Act V/iii) plus Henry VIII, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Cymbeline (to Act III/ii only). Division 6. Similar condition. Contains the remainder of Cymbeline plus Othello, Timon of Athens, King Lear, Macbeth, Troilus and Cressida (to Act IV/iv). Division 7. Pages mostly loose. Contains the remainder of Troilus and Cressida plus Coriolanus, Julius Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra, Titus Andronicus, Pericles & The Two Noble Kinsmen (to Act II/vi). Division 8. Contains the remainder of The Two Noble Kinsmen plus Venus and Adonis, The Rape of Lucrece, Sonnets, A Lover's Complaint. Also various fragments ascribed to Shakespeare. Division 9. A Biography of Shakespeare.
