The main purpose of this book is to make a historical record of the creation and early years of the Spennymore Settlement, in particular up to 1954 when it was supported and funded by The Pilgrim Trust and other organisations. The Spennymore Settlement is a sociological phenomenon. From its inception on 1st April 1931 to its rebirth in 2008 the Settlement has been a fountain of cultural opportunity, social welfare, economic survival and educational inspiration. Book includes colour and black and white images. Book condition: Used, very good. There is minor shelf-wear to the wrapper such as a few small black ink marks and curled corners. The pages are clean and unmarked.
