Merchant's Category: Teaware & Tea> Serveware> Sugar Bowls & Creamers
This charming, curved small-sized sugar bowl with lid and delicate handles is crafted in fine white bone china, contrasting with the pale blue finish echoing Kit Kemp's original fabric design of The Sailor's Farewell. Inspired by a drawing which captured her imagination, Kit's whimsical sea creatures including silvery fish feature in the design which is embellished with a deeper blue and hand applied 22 carat gold details. Blending Kit's love of craft and simple, lyrical folk art and Wedgwood's famous fine table ware, the partnership has produced this, their second collection. The covered sugar bowl is backstamped for authenticity and presented in a Wedgwood signature blue box, making a charming gift while also forming part of the tea ware used within The Whitby Hotel in New York and Ham Yard Hotel in London, co-owned by Kit Kemp.
