Wedgwood Sailor's Farewell Tea Cup, Saucer and Plate from Wedgwood
Merchant: Wedgwood
Brand: Wedgwood
Merchant's Category: Teaware & Tea> Teaware> Tea Sets
This classic tea cup, saucer and 20cm plate is crafted in silky white fine bone china, finished with the delicate pale blue of Kit Kemp's original fabric design, making it a timeless set. The whimsical, imaginative design of The Sailor's Farewell depicts his loved-one waving him off at the centre of the saucer, together with his sailing ship and various characters he may encounter at sea such as a frogman on the footed tea cup. Embellished with a deeper blue and hand-applied 22 carat gold details, this delightful set shows Kit Kemp's enchanting style. The pieces are backstamped for authenticity and beautifully presented in a signature blue Wedgwood gift box, making a wonderful treat for a tea lover and forming part of the tea service used within The Whitby Hotel in New York and Ham Yard Hotel in London which are co-owned by Kit Kemp.
