Taylor traded his bar for a Spirits import business, bringing Sazerac-de-Forge et Fils cognac to U.S. shores. His bar, rechristened the Sazerac Coffee House by new owner Aaron Bird, became synonymous with the "Sazerac Cocktail", featuring Taylor's imported Cognac and local apothecary Antoine Amedie Peychaud's bitters. Fast forward to 2019, the Sazerac House opens as a museum, immortalizing this cocktail culture. Despite ingredients changing over the years due to events like the phylloxera epidemic, the Sazerac cocktail's spirit perseveres, just like the city it calls home. Enter stage right - White X Cognac. This isn't your grandpa's Cognac. It's a collaboration between American rapper Quavo and Sazerac. Think of it as a hip-hop remix of a classic jazz track. Distilled from white grapes from the Champagne region in Cognac, it's aged two years, just long enough to get the grape's freshness on point. With a golden straw hue that could make Midas jealous, White X is smoother and sweeter than your average Cognac. It's got white stone fruit and creamy vanilla notes that'll have your taste buds doing the moonwalk.
